It will soon be December in Windermere and time for those winter spa breaks in the Lake District. If you haven’t booked yours as yet, then keep an eye out for any last-minute availability!
December Hot Tub Spa Breaks
As we start to feel the temperatures drop there are only one or two things for it. Firstly, you can throw another log on the stove and watch the flames dance to our delight. Secondly, we can step out onto the balcony and into a private hot tub. After all, the temperatures are regulated and as such, you can welcome the benefits without getting cold!
Guests can utilise their hot tub spa suites for helping with anything from regular aches and pains, to relieving muscle tension and even reducing blood pressure. Although it’s not just for health reasons why people return to the Aphrodites Boutique Suites. Especially when it comes to spa breaks in December, Windermere and the Lake District become somewhat of a magical winter wonderland. One in which visitors can expect to find a whole host of things to see and do. Including the regular tourist attractions, many of which remain open all year round. As well as joining the locals at a country pub or booking a romantic table for two at an award-winning restaurant.
Christmas and New Year in Windermere
When it comes to hot tub spa breaks in December, there are two main reasons for celebration. In particular when it comes to Christmas and New Year. Although, that’s not to say to rule out those of you with birthdays, anniversaries and such.
Just for many, it’s either to embrace the end of year festivities or to escape them. Whichever you decide, our independent spa hotel looks forward to making you feel welcome. As for those annual Christmas and New Year events in Windermere, there is often plenty to choose upon.
While Santa Clause and his team have decided to postpone the Windermere Christmas Market until 2022, there are still others nearby. Including live music, mulled wine and craft workshops within the grounds of Rydal Mount.
As well as festive markets in Ambleside and Kendal, helping to keep up the annual traditions. Meanwhile, there’s a re-enactment of a Christmas Carol in Cockermouth, along with the Taste Cumbria food festival. The local bars and restaurants are taking bookings for New Year’s Eve, where you can eat and drink until the early morning. Although if it’s something a little more romantic, you can always find a picnic spot down by the Lake. Where you can pre-order some bubbles and nibbles to take along from your spa suite, before settling down to watch the fireworks.
